Majority of tills are self-service. Very high product prices do not reflect the food quality which is relatively low comparatively. Not much choice and many disgusting meat alternatives which is horrifying to see. Try to avoid

A huge marks and Spencer’s.It’s a lovely shop,has a lot of products.I know Marks and Spencer’s Is expensive,but it isn’t ordinary food it is M&S food I suppose!Most food is reasonably priced however I thought 35 quid for a turkey breast was a little pricey,I’m sure it’s delicious but ribs at Hard Rock Cafe is much cheaper.Also the gluten free section was amazing and you could just get so much choice,I even got a flatbread pizza gluten free made by Marks and Spencer’s themselves.Also got everything we wanted.Counter assistant Edie was extremely friendly.Much better choice than Morrisons with stock.

M&S shops are always well stocked with all the essentials. The Tring store has pick up and return for most online items including cloths which is really convenient. Ask at customer services for this service. There is a good selection of nicely packaged gift items which are a bit pricy but look good. A lot of the smaller stores manage stock remarkably well and you can usually find what you need or a suitable alternative. The small Tring store is always busy and its layout for the check outs is inefficient and slow with long queues and a long wait. For a convenience size store for pop in shopping this is really annoying. It would be better using a one to many checkout queue to speed things up. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

Used to be very good, fresh food, but unfortunately it's not as good as it was Have a habit of leaving the small pallet trolleys in the aisle or at the end so I have almost tripped over them. The bread from the bakery is lovely but isn't covered. Most of the staff are cheery, but others are quite miserable. Annoying when you're in queue to pay and they come and open a till to serve staff. Manager never acknowledges you. Food good but you have to check dates as sometimes there is produce on shelves which is out of date and also the pricing isn't clear.

I went there before Christmas for some variety in my snacks for Christmas and was not disappointed. Their cookies are very tasty too, if calorific. Would recommend if you're looking for a meal deal, or groceries.

Really enjoyed my service at our local branch today. Caron was behind the till and it was refreshing to be served by someone who has a sense of humour like mine. Life is too short. Sometimes the public forget when you are in retail like myself too, to make your day and shop enjoyable, a sense of humour is an assest. We are only there to give the best shopping experience to you, the public. Please try to remember that when you deal with a human being. You could always just press a button otherwise. Thank you again Caron. I will return.
